She was born on Monday, February 19, 1951 in New Orleans, LA to Betty Jane Savoy and Patrick G. Tracy and was a resident of Mandeville since 1987. She graduated summa cum laude in 1973 from Southeastern Louisiana University with degrees in Theatre and English and has been the Director of the theatre department at SSA for nearly 20 years. Prior to that, she directed on the southshore for the Archdiocese of New Orleans, creating the first lab theatre for children, which she headed since 1974. She is a degreed director and over the past 40 years she has directed over 60 musicals and large-scale production plays. While at the lab theatre she directed over 2,500 students. The beloved wife of the late Dennis Henry Schaff, she is survived by her mother - Betty Jane Savoy Tracy; one daughter - Jennifer Schaff Mutter; son-in-law - Shane C. Mutter; two grandchildren - Ella Jane and Sebastian Rayce Mutter; three brothers - Patrick G., Jr., Michael C. and Glenn M. Tracy; and her faithful greyhound - Tori. She was preceded in death by her father. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte Street Mandeville, LA 70448. Visiting hours at the church on Saturday will begin at 9:15 AM. Following mass, inurnment within a niche at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington, LA will take place immediately. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Children’s Advocacy Center, or St. Tammany Hospital Foundation. ===================
