“Rise and Shine” On Saturday May 20, 2017 Elmer “Elmo” John Allen Thornton Jr., 
age 69 of Slidell, LA went to be with Our Lord. 

Mr. Thornton was a devoted provider, loving husband, father, and grandfather, and 
a member of the United States National Guard for 11 years.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years Robin Thornton, his children Robert 
Thornton (Julia), Scott Thornton (Leslie), Ryan Sander (Jill Faessel), Regan 
Jackson (Glenn), and Raynah Piazza (Chris), 7 grandchildren Treylan Jenneman, 
Micah Thornton, Elliot Jackson, Olivia Jackson, Noah Landry, Maddux Piazza, and 
William John Allen Piazza, and 8 siblings. 

Mr. Thornton is preceded in death by his parents Edna and Elmer Thornton Sr., and 
3 siblings.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday May 27, 2017 at 10 am at Northside 
Baptist Church in Slidell, LA.
