DONNER, MICHAEL ROBERT, SR.
October 13, 1929 - June 3, 2017

Michael Robert Donner, Sr. passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the age of 
87.

Husband of Mary Janice Naquin. Loving father of Michael Donner, Jr., Patrick 
Donner and the late Dennis Donner. Son of the late Clothilde Rodrigue Donner 
and John Alvin Donner. Brother of the late John C. Donner and Alvin F. Donner. 
Grandfather of Zachary, Patrick “PJ”, Rebecca and Brandon. Great-grandfather of 
Aidan and Ava. 
He was predeceased by his best friend, Lt. Thomas H. Lauland.

Mr. Donner served for 31 years with the United States Marine Corps retiring as 
a Chief Warrant Officer 3. He served in both the Korean and Viet Nam Conflicts. 
He was a native of Algiers, LA and was a resident of Mandeville, LA where he 
enjoyed attending the Monday Night Disciples at Most Holy Trinity Catholic 
Church.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at E.J. Fielding 
Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Wednesday, June 7, 
2017 at 2:00 PM with visitation on Wednesday beginning at 12:00 noon.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Donner to be 
made to the Samaritan Center in Mandeville, LA.
