Jerry traveled the country as a child, as his Dad was a lineman, but the family always returned to their home in Slidell. He lived in Slidell as a teenager, graduated from Slidell High and attended Lafayette University. He played baseball and basketball with his team winning the 1958-59 Class A State Championship for Slidell High. During his adult life, he resided in Metairie (first marriage) and later settled in MS after buying a houseboat and ultimately Bush, LA in the swamp and living aboard the houseboat. In between, he traveled to Hawaii, Costa Rica, up and down the east coast and the west coast. He worked various jobs ranging from space exploration research to car dealerships. Before retiring early to work on the houseboat, he was in the transportation industry as a dispatcher, partnered to start his own trucking company and was an agent for various major trucking companies. Jerry loved to work on cars but especially enjoyed driving autocross and racing. He was a member of various car clubs locally and regionally and a founding father of FPA (Ford Performance Association) which is still going strong. He played a little golf but not often. Enjoyed tennis and participated in many charitable tennis tournaments partnering with his grandson and other tennis buddies and played league tennis up to Super Senior level. He loved living on the water and watching the surrounding wildlife. He fished a bit, liked boat rides and back in the day actually water skied and wake boarded. His favorite dinner was a good filet mignon with a bottle of Pinot Noir all though he did like to barbecue for family and friends. If it involved family, good food and wine, he was ready. He will be very much missed by all who knew and loved him. Jerry is survived by his wife, Barbara Hall; a son, Tim Hall; two daughters, Karen Alleman and Kelli Patin, their significant others Lydia Miller, Mark Alleman and Daniel Patin; a brother, Gary Hall; one sister, Janet Stansberry; two grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and his Mom, Vera Hall. No formal services will be held; however, there will be a celebration of life gathering for family and close friends on Fathers Day, June 18, 2017. ===================
