He was born on Sunday, February 19, 1939, in Colfax, LA to Clarilou Dean and Arthur L. LaCour and has been a resident of St. Tammany Parish since 1959. After starting his career at Prestressed Concrete in Mandeville, LA, Kenneth served as a Prestressed Concrete Specialist with both LADOTD and GEC throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. During one of his “retirement periods,” he drew upon his well-known culinary ability to serve as cafeteria manager for Saint Paul’s School in Covington and, for a period, as dessert chef for the Dakota Restaurant. He was an avid elk and deer hunter, spending many happy days in the Colorado Rockies. The beloved husband of Judith Gill LaCour for 59 years, he is also survived by his son - Kenny LaCour, Jr. of Covington and three brothers – Steve of Shreveport, LA and George H. of Colfax, and Dorman D. LaCour of Boyce, LA. His parents and a son, Brian, preceded him in death. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Covington, 16333 Hwy 1085 Covington, LA 70433. Visitation at the church will begin at 10:00 AM. A reception at the Dakota Restaurant on Hwy.190, south of Covington will immediately follow the service at the church. Interment will take place privately at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saint Paul's Scholarship Fund or to the First Baptist Church of Covington Building Fund. The family would like to thank the Cardiology Staff of East Jefferson, especially Dr. Fortune Dugan, for medical care and friendship since 1984. ===================
