"WOODIE", III Died: Sun., Jun. 25, 2017 Alfred H. “Woodie” LeCorgne, III, passed away at home in Covington, LA on Sunday, June 25, 2017, at the age of 65. Woodie was born on February 27, 1952 in the city of New Orleans to Alfred H. LeCorgne, Jr and Beverly Mae Caruso. He was a long-time resident of River Ridge, LA. He then went on to graduate from Archbishop Rummel High School and in November of 1970, he began his journey in the United States Army. In the midst of this, he met and married Miss Jacqueline Denise Vega on April 8, 1972 at St Agnes Catholic Church in Jefferson, LA. After being honorably discharged by the U.S. Navy in July of 1976, Woodie then went on the to join Local Union # 60 for Plumbers and Pipefitters and became a long- time employee of Mechanical Construction Company in Metairie, LA, for over the next thirty years. In his downtime, he kept himself plenty busy coaching both of his kids in various sports at Mike Miley Playground in Metairie, LA. as well as spending every weekend he could hunting at the camp. He is proceeded in death by his father, Alfred H. LeCorgne, Jr. who died on January 8, 1999 and his mother, Beverly C. LeCorgne, who died on December 24, 1993. He is also proceeded by his beloved wife, Jacqueline V. LeCorgne, who passed away on December 3, 2007. He is survived by his loving children, daughter, Kori (Harold) and son Lance (Jessica), his six grandchildren, Lainie, Emma, Mollie, Jack, Matthew and Kaitlyn, his loyal pet companions, Champ and Rosie and his fiancée, Lana Sousa. As per the deceased request, there will be no Funeral or Church services. There will be a small private memorial held at a later date.
