She was born in Marrero, LA on April 22, 1965. She was 52 years old. She attended school in Mandeville, LA and graduated from MHS in 1983. She was a member of the Flag Team and Rifle Team and was a maid in her freshman year for the football court. Deidre graduated from Delgado School of Nursing in 2002. She was an RN at Lakeview Regional Hospital working the step down unit and occasionally the ICU unit. Deidre was the beloved daughter of Dorothy Lancaster Markey and Daniel Louis Markey, Jr. (deceased); granddaughter of Ruth Nolan Lancaster (deceased); great granddaughter Edward James and Ruth Nolan (both deceased). She is survived by her children – Michael Nolan Ball and Colleen Marie Ball; her brothers – Daniel L. Markey III (Karen) and David Lawrence Markey (Barbara); aunts and uncles – Dr. John Lawrence Moore and Helen Nolan Moore, Barbara Jean Lichtfuss (Jim, deceased), Edward James Lancaster (Karen), James and Cindy Markey, Cathy and Jim Mendoza, James Wood (Sandra, deceased), Roy Lund (Joan, deceased); nieces - Breanne Markey Orman (Blake), Kelsey Rhea Markey, Shelby Markey, Mikayla Markey Fornea (Russ); great nephew – Sage Poccorroba; and great niece – Addilyn Ruby Orman. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial mass at 12:00 Noon on Friday, July 7, 2017 at St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church, 72040 Maple St. Abita Springs, LA 70420. Visiting hours at the church will begin Friday at 9:00 AM. Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington will immediately follow mass.
