Paul Dietrich Mumme, Sr., age 80 years, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Sunday, 
June 25, 2017 at home.

Beloved husband of Elizabeth Howley Mumme for the past 59 years.
Father of Paul D. Mumme, Jr.(Licia), Mary Beth McManus(Drew), Mark C. 
Mumme(Lesley), Theresa A. Thurman(Wally), Michael G. Mumme(Kathleen), Matthew 
D. Mumme,Sr.(Donna), Patrick M. Mumme(Julie), Kathleen M. Dudenhefer(Jason) and 
Richard T. Mumme(Misty).

Son of the late A.D. Mumme, Jr. and Nathalie Noel Legendre.
Brother of Noel Legendre, Donald Legendre and David Legendre.
Grandfather of 22, and 15 great grandchildren.
Also survived by 2 nephews.

He worked for the New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board where he was a 
Superintendent of the Central Yard for 37 years.

He was a permanent Deacon for the Archdiocese of New Orleans for 25 years and 
was the first permanent deacon at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in New 
Orleans East.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral

Mass at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 58203 Hwy 433, Slidell, LA 
on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 1:00 P.M.
Archbishop Gregory M. Aymond, as Celebrant.

Interment in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.

Visitation at the church  on Thursday  after 10:00 A.M. until funeral time.

Masses preferred, in lieu of flowers.
