Myra Melancon Benitez passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 in Folsom, LA. 

She was born in New Orleans on Tuesday, August 16, 1966 and was a life long 
resident of St. Tammany Parish. She graduated from the Charity School of 
Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse in the NICU for many years.

She is survived by her loving daughter - Jordyn Benitez; son-in-law - Rick 
Cordes, Jr.; one granddaughter - Cameryn Cordes; three sisters - Melissa 
Melancon, Marion Picou and Monica Guidry; her pets that she loved dearly - 
Hershey and Goose; also, many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great 
nephews and dear friends. 

She was preceded in death by one sister - Melanie Blanchard.

Family and friends are welcome and called to join together in remembrance of 
Myra on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at E.J. Fielding Funeral 
Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
