BLANCHE SCHEXNAYDRE CARROLL, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 
2017 at the age of 93, a lifelong resident of Slidell.

Beloved wife of the late Wesley M. Carroll for over seventy years.

Daughter of the late James and Rose Schexnaydre. Preceded in death by brothers 
James Schexnaydre, Jr (d.1932,) James Schexnaydre Jr. (d.2004,) and sister Rose 
S. Mire. 

Survived by her children J. Stephen Carroll, Anne Carroll Williams (William) 
and Robert T. Carroll, Sr (Karen Trascher.) Also survived by her brother Norman 
Schexnaydre (Patricia,) six grandchildren; Wesley Williams (Elnie,) Travis 
Williams (Daniela,) Kelly Gullen, Simon Williams, Robert Carroll, Jr., Patrick 
Carroll, and two great-grandchildren; Jude Gullen, Luke Williams.

Blanche was a founding member of the Slidell Women’s Civic Club, co-owner of 
the Slidell Hobby and Record Shop and Cabbage Patch Ceramic Studio, Girl Scout 
Leader, Slidell Troop 658, St Margaret Mary Catholic Church pioneer member, a 
founding member of Guardians of Slidell History (G.O.S.H.) and a supporter of 
many community activities.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at St. 
Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd, Slidell, LA on Friday July 28, 
2017. Visitation from 10:00AM until 11:30AM, followed by the Rosary and eulogy, 
then a Funeral Mass at Noon. 

Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Slidell, LA.
