Thompson, peacefully passed away at his home on Sunday, July 30, 2017. He was born in Slidell, LA to Carol Hageni and Joseph Newton Daigle on Thursday, August 8, 1968 and was a resident of Mandeville since 1999. He is survived by his one true love, Andrea Walker Daigle, and one amazing, incredibly intelligent son – Alexander Xavier Daigle Walker; his mother – Carol Hageni Daigle; father – Joseph Newton Daigle (Dee); and two sisters Leith Daigle (Floyd) and Heather Daigle (Tyler). Ashton, author of The Long Hunt, was an avid writer. He was a Code Enforcement Officer with St. Tammany Parish. He brought joy and laughter wherever he went. Always one for a good story and a laugh, if you were blessed enough to know him, you loved him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 4, 2017 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Visiting hours on Friday begin at noon. A celebration will follow mass at 70034 5th Street, Covington, LA. Private graveside services will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation for Alex’s education would be greatly appreciated. ===================
