He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Hilton Dauterive and Margret Zay Dauterive. John was a loving and kind husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his beloved wife Antoinette Almerico Dauterive of 31 years. He was born December 13, 1939, in New Orleans, lived in Chalmette for over 30 years and most recently lived in Mandeville since Hurricane Katrina. Loving father of Lori Dauterive Terminie (Ray), Madeline A. Guillory (Thomas), Lloyd P. Harold, and Kevin J. Harold (Stacy). Devoted and loving grandfather of Ashley, Austin, Aaron, Caitlin, Kayley, Cameron, Gabrielle and Tyler. Great grandfather of Kyler. He went to Francis T. Nicholls, graduated in 1964 from Delgado Community College and studied at University of New Orleans. He worked in the Offshore Division at Texaco Exploration and Production Inc. and retired after 34 years of service. He was a member of the Marine Corp. Reserves. He enjoyed cajun dancing and was a member of Les Danseurs Acadian Dance Group. When he wasn’t dancing, he would be in a boat fishing with his family or friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 312 Lafitte Street Mandeville, LA on Saturday July 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
