Virginia may clem fewell, 91, a longtime resident of Slidell, LA, passed away 
on Saturday, July 1, 2017, in Wiggins, Mississippi. 

Mrs. Fewell was born February 23, 1926 in Marion County, Indiana, and was 
adopted on June 19, 1928, in Indianapolis, Indiana, by Floyd A. Clem and 
Margaret C. Meyer Clem. She married Floyd Emerson Fewell on April 27, 1944.

Ginny, as she was called, was a longtime employee of J.C. Penney, and was an 
active member of Beta Sigma Phi Preceptor Sigma Chapter for over twenty five 
years. Over the years she enjoyed bowling and playing bridge.

Mrs. Fewell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd Emerson 
Fewell; and one son, Thomas Eric Fewell.

She is survived by eight children: David (Cindy) Fewell of Lithia, FL; Terri 
(Larry) Edmonds of Perkinston, Mississippi; Kay (David) Gowen of Perkinston, 
Mississippi; Peggy (Richard) Leyer of Diamondhead, Mississippi; Sue Brooks of 
Slidell, Lousiana; Becky Fewell of Pass Christian Mississippi, Rita Edwards of 
Slidell, Louisiana; Carol (Mike) McCleery of New Orleans, Lousiana, and a 
daughter-in-law: Nancy Fewell Downey of Long Beach, Mississippi. She is also 
survived by thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.

Memorial Services will be held at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST 
(IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 2:00 P.M.

Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 1:00pm.
