He was born on December 2, 1958 in Ft. Benning, GA to the late Glen Brooks O’Quin and the late Katie Loraine Roberts. Mitch is survived by his beloved wife, Darlene Godbold O’Quin; his son Corey Mitchell O’Quin, Corey’s wife Megan, and his daughter Katie Morgan O’Quin; and three grandchildren Avery Elizabeth O'Quin, Brooks William O'Quin, Dalton Thomas O'Quin. He is also survived by his sister Kay Friedrich and her husband Ed and his sister Debbie Head and her husband Gary. Mitch graduated from McComb High School in McComb, MS in 1976. Upon graduation, he attended the University of Southern Mississippi where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He spent 18 years with Central Garden & Pet Supply and finished his career with ABC Supply Company, Inc. Mitch was a member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church for over 19 years. He served as a youth counselor for six years with a heart for youth ministry and growing young people in their faith. Mitch was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed concerts and dancing with his wife, playing golf with his children, and spending time with his family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at St. Timothy United Methodist Church, 335 Asbury Drive, Mandeville, LA 70471 on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM with visitation on Saturday beginning at 10:00 AM. Following the service there will be a reception at St. Timothy’s Family Life Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mitch to be made to the Youth Scholarship Fund at St. Timothy United Methodist Church, 335 Asbury Drive, Mandeville, LA 70471.
