On Saturday, July 1, 2017 Gary Wayne Slaydon, Sr. of Pearl River, Louisiana 
passed away at the age of 71 years. 

Mr. Slaydon was a ordained minister and a member of a local apostolic church in 
Pearl River, Louisiana. 

He is survived by his children; Gwen Slaydon, Uhle Jacobs, Gary “Fuzzy” Wayne 
Slaydon, Jr., Crystal Slaydon and April Slaydon, siblings; Jerry Andrew 
Slaydon, Robert James Slaydon, William “Pete” Slaydon, Clara Gayle Slaydon, 
Opal Slaydon and Sheila Marie Barnes. Mr. Gary was also survived by 5 
grandchildren; Issac, Rebecca, Carl Jr., Brian and Price and numerous family 
members out of state who cherished him. 

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Lillian Slaydon, brother 
Archie Genis Slaydon and sister Shirley Annette Friebert. 

Visitation will be held at D.T. Williams Funeral Home, located at 67525 Hwy 41, 
Pearl River, Louisiana 70452 on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 10:00am until 12:00pm 
for family and 12:00pm until 2:00pm for friends with funeral service starting 
at 2:00pm. 

Interment to follow at Old Palestine Cemetery in Nicholson, Mississippi. 
Bro. Sam Ferguson to be officiating.
