Lucy Ann Miller Band, a strong, loving, beautiful faith filled wife, mother, 
stepmother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend was 
received in eternal grace on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the age of 88 
surrounded by her family. 

She was preceded in death by her soulmate and husband of 28 years, Alex "Butz" 
J. Band, Jr., Sadie Klink (mother), Walter Miller (father), Bertha and George 
Reine (sister/brother-in-law), Morris and Rose Miller (brother/sister-in-law), 
Jack Miller (brother), Danielle Miller(granddaughter), Sean Miller (grandson), 
Christopher Johnson (grandson), Randy Elias (son-in-law), David Band (stepson), 
Jeffrey Broussard (great grandson), Matthew Lambert (great grandson), Eileen 
Lambert (great granddaughter), and William Lambert (great grandson). She was 
born in Mandeville, LA and a long-time resident of Slidell, LA. She lived her 
life for her five children Tommy Miller (Janice), the twins, Charlotte Elias 
(Randy) and Cheryl Duthu (Ray), Daryl Miller (Cheryl) and Elizabeth Johnson 
(Larry) that she raised as a single mother, as well as Butz's son, Alex "Lex" 
Band Ill.

She was passionate about flowers and art and was a long time member of the 
Slidell Garden Club. 

She enjoyed watching her grandchildren Todd Miller (Claudia), Tracy Miller Gant 
(Richard), Michael Elias (Sarah), Amy Elias Ivy (John), Patrick Elias, Missy 
Lambert Judice(Paul), Terry Lambert (Theresa), Cathy Lambert Canter (Bryan), 
Douglas Miller, Adrianne Miller, Hope Marie Johnson Welch (Brian), Ryan 
Johnson(Lisa), Ray Duthu Ill, Amy Duthu Eagan (Danny), and Mark Duthu grow up. 

In her later years, her 36 great grandchildren brought her much joy. To know 
her was to love her and she will be terribly missed by all.

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 14, 2017, at 11:00am, at St. 
Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd, Slidell LA, 70458.

Friends may visit at the church on Monday beginning at 9:30am.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell.
