William John Landwehr, 82 years old, departed this life at his home in Slidell, 
LA on August 22, 2017. 

Son of the late William John Landwehr and Juliette Bunch Landwehr. Father of 
William F. Landwehr(Tina), Elizabeth L. Avenel(Albert), and the late Eugene 
Michael Landwehr. Also survived by his grandchildren: Melissa G. Avenel, Albert 
J. Avenel, III, Brandon M. Cressy and the late William Eugene Landwehr. 

He was born in Wadesboro, LA and resided in New Orleans, St. Bernard and most 
recently in Slidell, LA. Mr. Landwehr retired from the MTMC Gulf Outport in New 
Orleans after 42 years of federal civil service. 

A memorial service will be held on September 1, 2017 at St. Bernard Memorial 
Gardens, 701 W. Virtue Street, Chalmette, LA 70043, from 9:00am until 10:00am.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to German Shepherd Rescue and 
Adoption, P.O. Box 471, Fuquay Varina, NC 27526.
