Jody Gerard Lasalle passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at University 
Hospital in New Orleans, LA following a crash on I-10 in Slidell, LA. 

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to L.C., a good samaritan, LA State 
Police, EMS, and University Hospital staff for their efforts trying to save 
Jody’s life. 

He was born on April 21, 1964 in Jefferson, LA to Shelby P. LaSalle, Jr. and 
the late Gloria Lemoine LaSalle.

Jody was the loving father of Ariana Sky Smith and proud grandfather of Violet 
Sky Fitzmorris. He was the brother of Shelby Blair LaSalle of Chester, VA, Chad 
Lee LaSalle of Dallas, TX, René Monroe LaSalle of Slidell, LA, and Shelby Marie 
LaSalle. He was the beloved nephew of Simon Alfred LaSalle and cousin of Sidney 
Paul LaSalle and Shane A. LaSalle. He was predeceased by his mother and two 
infant brothers.

Jody had a giving spirit and a strong faith in Jesus Christ. He will be deeply 
missed by both sides of his family, the LaSalles and the Lemoines.

A Private Liturgy of the Word for immediate family and Jody’s close friends 
will be held at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 
70433 on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at 11:30 AM with visitation from 10:30 AM 
until service time. 

Interment will follow the service at Mandeville City Cemetery, Mandeville, LA. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Harvey Flood Victim Fund at 
the Northshore Community Foundation
