Jake J. Schiro, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017, he was 
95 years old.
 
Beloved husband of the late Dolores Schulte Schiro for 62 years. 
Father of Rhonda Lynn Clair (David Starling), the late Jake John Schiro, Jr. 
and Cynthia Ann Schiro.
Son of the late Theodore and Virginia Clesi Schiro. 
Brother of Joyce Schiro Lucas and the late Anthony V. Schiro, Lena Blasini, 
Frank Schiro, Luke Schiro, Joe Schiro, and Peter Schiro.
Also survived by nephew, Derlin G. Clair and niece, Marlene Stierwald and many 
other nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to thank the LA War Veteran’s Home in Jackson, LA and Our 
Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA for their love, compassion, and 
great care of our beloved Jake. 

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services 
at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), 
Slidell, LA on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. 

Interment will follow in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY, Slidell, LA.

Visitation at Honaker Funeral Home on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 9:00 A.M. 
until funeral time at 11:00 A.M.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Jake’s name to: Alzheimer’s
