William "Fred" Frederick Wood passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, 
August 30, 2017. 

He was born in Shreveport, LA on Sunday, January 8, 1933 to Lydia Gonsoulin and 
Eduard Wood and has been a resident of St. Tammany Parish for over 40 years.

A dedicated and active parishioner at St. Anselm Catholic Church, Fred was a 
devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather and is survived by three 
daughters - Wendy Wood Steimle (Daryl), Heidi Wood Melerine (Tony) and Holly 
Wood Tyrney (Gino); one son - Kevin Easley (Gloria); eight grandchildren - 
Alissa Jenkins, Jonathan Neil, Paige Beichler, Gavin and Riley Melerine, Aiden 
and Cole Tyrney and Jeremy Easley; and five great grandchildren - Will and 
Devin Jenkins, Aurora Easley, Harper Courtney and Jeremy Easley, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers - Carter Rader and Perry 
James Wood; one sister - Lydia Theresa Ross and one granddaughter - Erica 
Easley.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass at 11:00 AM on 
Saturday, September 2, 2017 at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 306 St. Mary St. 
Madisonville, LA 70447.

Visiting hours at the church on Saturday will begin at 9:00 AM.

Interment at the Theodore Dendinger Cemetery in Madisonville, LA will 
immediately follow the mass.
