Bucky was born on January 18, 1976 in Casper, Wyoming. However, Bucky was raised in Slidell where he spent the majority of his life. Bucky served his country in Afghanistan in the United States Army as a Specialist and served his community as a deputy sheriff with St. Charles Parish, and with St. Tammany Parish. He was preceded in death by his father, James “Skip” Wright (2008), his grandmother, Lois Swanson (2013), and grandfather, Robert Swanson (2014). Bucky is survived by his devoted and loyal wife, Monique Cherie Wright, his faithful canine companion, Bella, and his beloved mother, Susan Swanson Wright. He is also survived by his numerous siblings (from other mothers), including his brother and best friend, Michael, along with Melissa, Janey, Katie, Matthew, and Jonathan Wright. Also, his uncles Steven Swanson of Ohio, Roger Swanson of Maryland, and his aunt Karen Sterrett of Mississippi, and cousins. The avid outdoorsman, Bucky loved to fish and hunt more than anything, except for sharing a cold beer with his friends and family; especially at the crawfish boils he enjoyed hosting. Please join us in commemorating and sharing memories of his life at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell, LA Saturday August 19th, 2017, visitation from 9am -11am with services immediately following.
