L. Carpenter as principal and Isaac N. Cutrer as security, both of this Parish and State, are held and firmly bound unto Alexander Mouton, Governor of the State of Louisiana and his successors in Office, the payment of which will and truly to be made to the said Governor and to his successors as afore said, for which we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally by these presents dated this Twenty Fourth day of November A.D. 1845. Now the condition of the foregoing obligation is such, that whereas the said A. L. Carpenter has applied for license to marry Miss Mary Ann LaCroix of this Parish and State. Now if there shall exist no legal impediment to said marriage, then the above obligation to be null and void else to remain in full force and virtue in law. Executed before me above A. L.
