State of Louisiana Parish of St. Tammany Know all men by these presents that we Isaac Talley as principal and Abraham Talley as his security, both of this Parish and State, are held and firmly bound unto A. B. Roman, Governor of the State of Louisiana in the just and full sum of One Hundred Dollars the payment of which well and truly to be made to the said Governor or his successors in Office for which we bind ourselves jointly severally & firmly by these presents this the 15th day of August, 1839. The Condition of the above obligation is such that wereas the above bound Isaac Talley has this day applied for a license to marry Miss Adalaide Ott of this Parish. Now therefore if then there should exist no legal impediment to said marriage the above obligation to be null and void else to remain in full force and virtue in law. Executed before me date above Lyman Briggs Parish Judge State of Louisiana Parish of St. Tammany Be it known that on this 15th day of August A.D. 1835 and in the Independence of the United States the sixty fourth, I Lyman Briggs Judge of the Parish of St. Tammany performed the ceremony of marriage between Mr. Isaac Talley and Miss Adelaide Ott both of said Parish and State.
