Kemp Is Back From Washington "The Enterprise" Ponchatoula, Tangipahoa Par., LA Friday, July 30, 1926, p. 1 B. Kemp Is Back From Washington Congressman Bolivar E. Kemp returned last week from Washington where as Congressman from this district he made a record for first year activities. During his stay in Washington, Mr. Kemp has secured additional rural mail deliveries. He has started a movement to give Ponchatoula a Federal Building. He has made possible the securing of Free City Mail Delivery in Ponchatoula. He has secured the dredging of the Amite River to relieve the flood conditions near Denham Springs and many other things which have been brought to our attention. Mr. Kemp will visit Ponchatoula within the next week or two and renew old acquaintances. An invitation has been extended him to attend the Business Men's Association dinner on Thursday of next week, which Mr. Kemp said he would make every endeavor to attend, but that he had an engagement for the day before which might interfere with his getting here.
