One of the farmers said that he thought the graves had been moved. Another pointed to some dense bushes just of the south side of the road, but I was unable to find any evidence of any graves. According to the map, it is located on the north side of the road. Checked with another resident who was unaware of any cemetery in this area. Belford Carver, June 30, 2000. On July 2, 2000, talked with Mr. Glenn Reid of Amite, LA. He said that one acre had been set aside for this cemetery, and that at one time there was a fence surrounding the graves. It was in a wooded section on the north side of the lane, and joined the road. His grandparents, John Paul Baham and Pauline Baham were buried there; but had been moved. He was in the service at the time, and did not remember where their new burial place was. He also said that he had a baby brother and baby sister buried there. He had not visited the place since 1950. Others buried there were Willie and Mamie Reid, a Sanchez, some Anthons, and a Francis ?? whose family later moved to Seattle, WA. He did not know if all the bodies had been moved to another cemetery or not. -BEC-
