Visited by Dr. Belford Carver on February 26, 2001. Rene Lawson Bahm Feb 14, 1851 May 7, 1919 R. Valcour Bahm May 12, 1824 Feb 19, 1905 There are two infant graves to the right of the above two, but no inscriptions. (According to the LA Land Records (1790-1907), there was an Edward F. Bahm who had 148.22 acres in Section 7, NE, T5S, R9E (dated March 26, 1892), where these graves are located. In an article written by Edna Campbell (Vol VIII, 1974), she stated that Jack Bahm and his brother, Fletcher, boarded in Hammond to attend school. She mentioned that their parents, the Fletcher Bahms, homesteaded 141 acres adjoining Zemurray Lodge, then called Holtonwood. If this Edward was called Fletcher, it seems reasonable that these graves are on that property prior to becoming part of the Zemurray acreage. -BEC- 4/3/2001)
