The cemetery was established in 1957 at the death of George Thurman Sticker. It is located at the end of Sticker Cemetery road off Hwy. 22 east of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, in the Bedico Community. Prior to that time, the family members were buried in the Edwards Family Cemetery on Edwards Farm Road, as Henry Sticker (grandfather of George T. Sticker) was a foster child in the Edwards family. This is a very small cemetery and was closed to further burials. The property for the cemetery was donated by Milton Jerrome Sticker (brother of George Thurman Sticker) to the Sticker Family Cemetery Association, which was formed for this purpose during the year of 1967. By this time two more of Milton's brothers and a nephew had been buried in the cemetery. In 1975 the Association registered the cemetery with the State Cemetery Board which, I believe, was when the law began the requirement that all family cemeteries be registered with their office. In 1993 another donation of property was made to the cemetery association by Nathan T. Sticker and Merdis R. Mickenheim for the enlargement of the cemetery. As of September 2000, there are 22 people buried in this cemetery. -BEC-
