Dr. Belford Carver visited the cemetery to verify information submitted to him for transcription. There are several unmarked graves. Double vault: James ? The original writer included some other description of the trees, flowers, and graves that I did notinclude in this transcription. Apparently Albert Latham Reed visited this cemetery in 1968 and made notes which were sent to me. He may have referred to this cemetery as "west cemetery." Jessia Latham above is his grandmother. Perhaps Lura Latham, a daughter of Alfred and Jessica Latham, is also buried here as she is the first name under "three graves in west cemetery." Perhaps also Albert Latham is buried here. His mother, Mary C. Latham married Willie Reed. He indicated that "M. C. Latham buried old cemetery on Cook place". This is probably New Star Baptist Cemetery according to one old-timer I talked with.
