Warner Parish Judge and exofficio notary public duly commissioned and sworn in and for the Parish aforesaid agreeably to an order to me directed from the honerable Berlin Childress Judge of Probate in and for the Parish of St Hellena and State aforesaid have proceeded to sell at auction as the property of the late William Shottock of said Parish of St. Hellena deceased one half section of three hundred and twenty acres of land lying on Tangipahoa River between Joseph Cutrer land and the heirs of Matthew ROBERTSON dec. in said Parish of Washington and after exposing said land for sale as aforesaid Vincent Price Became the purchaser for the sum of seventy five dollars to be paid within six months after date for which sum he said Vincent Price has furnished his promisary note for the true payment there of to register of mortgages for said Parish of Washington haveing Certified he discovered no kind mortgages in his office on said land in the name said Shottock now therefore be it known that I the Judge aforesaid do by the power vested in me as aforesaid sell assign transfer and set over to Vincent Price the aforesaid tract of land with all the right title interest or demand which the said William Shattock had to the _____ his deceased to have and to hold the said premises to the said Vincent Price his heirs and assigns for ever in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal of office day and date above written (seal) Thomas C.
