N. Lemon, # 234 State of Louisiana, Parish of Washington Dec 20th 1858 We the undersigned heirs and legal representatives of the late Mrs. Rebecca Jane ROBERTSON do by these presents ratify Hypothecate and confirm a certain Sale of land made by the Said Mrs. Robertson to I. N. LEMON the act of sale was passed before E. R. GUNN Notary Public in and for the Parish and State aforesaid on or about the 19th day of June 1858. And the land sold is the same that the said I. N. LEMON now occupies. We further authorize the Said Isaac N. Lemon to pay the notes given by him to the said Rebecca Jane ROBERTSON in payment of said land to John Q. RICKS administrator of the Estate of the Said Mrs. ROBERTSON. In testimony whereof we hereunto sign our names in the presence of I. F. Thompson and Thos. Spiller Witnesses. Spiller The State of Louisiana, Parish of Washington: Before me the undersigned Notary Public in and for the Said Parish and State personally came and appeared Ivy F. Thompson one of the attesting witnesses to the within instrument of writing, ratification of the sale of land therein mentioned who declared that he was one of the attesting Witnesses that he saw the parties sign their names to the said act by signing in manner usual and some by making their mark that the parties signed the same in the presence of each other and the Witnesses that Thos Spiller signed the same also as an attesting witness all of which was done and signed for the purposes therein expressed.
