Robertson to Mrs. Catherine Wright State of Louisiana Parish of Washington Be it known and remembered on the Twenty-nineth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty four and of the Independence of the United States of America the sixtieth - Before me Benjamin Richardson Judge and exofficio Notary Public in and for the said Parish personally came and appeared David Headen Robertson of said state and Parish who declares that he does by these presents for the consideration hereinfafter expressed grant bargain and sell convey transfer assign and set over with full guarantee against all troubles mortgages claims executions donations aleinations or other encumbrances whatsoever unto Catharine Meredith wife of Isaac Hutchison Wright of the Parish of St. Tamany and State aforesaid who is present and accepting this act as sale agent for the said Catharine Meredith his wife and acknowledging delivery and posession thereof a certain tract or parcel of land situated lying and being in the said State on Big Creek and bounded as follows to wit, South by Dunbar Branch east by Hezekiah Robertson north by Big Creek and Green Bradford and west by Simeon Bankston containing three hundred acres more or less being the place on which the said Vendor David H. Robertson now resides and which acquired by Deed from David Robertson as appears by act passed before William Marbury Esq. Notary Public in and for the Parish of St. Tamany and proved under date the eight day of August Eighteen hundred and twenty four that is to say undivided half of the above described premises together with all the improvements rights titles ways privileges advantages and appertenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the said Vendor for himself his heirs the said property to the said purchaser her heirs and assigns shall and will warrant and forever defend against the Lawful claims of all persons whomsoever by these presents - This sale is made for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars cash in hand the receipt of which the said David Headen Robertson hereby acknowledges to have received. It appears by the Register of the Mortgages in and for the said Parish of Washington of this date that the above described Land is free of any Mortgage Registered against the same. Thus done and passed and the said appearers have hereunto signed their names on the day month and year first above written and in presence of William Simmons and Martha Simmons Citizens of the said Parish of full age who have also sign with us the said Judge aforesaid.
