Robinson to Hezakiah Robinson, No. 88 The State of Louisiana Parish of Washington Be it known and remembered that this the Eight day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty six and Independence of the United States of America the sixty first - Before me Benj. Richardson judge and exofficio Notary Public in and for said Parish Personally came and appeared David H Robinson of this Parish and State who does declare and say that for the consideration hereinafter Expressed he hath this day bargained sold and delivered and does by these presents bargained sell convey transfer assign and set over with a full guarantee against all troubles debts mortgages evictions donations or other encumbrances of whatsoever nature they may be unto Hezakiah Robinson of the aforesaid State and Parish here present and accepting this act of sale for himself his heirs etc. and acknowledging delivery and possession thereof a certain tract or parcel of Land lying and being situate in this Parish on Big Creek and bounded as follows Viz, North by Big Creek and Green Bradford south by Dunbars' branch East by Lands of the purchaser and west by Simion Bankston containing three hundred acres more or less it being the same place which the present seller acquired by purchase and Deed of gift from his father David Robinson as appears by act Wm. Marbury Esq. Notary Public in and for the Parish of St. Tamany under date the 8th day of August (1824). It is expressly understood by the parties to this act that the said David H. Robinson only sells the undivided half of the tract of Land having Personally sold the one half to Mrs. Catharine Meridith wife of Isaac H. Wright together with one half of the improvements on the whole tract and now sells to the purchaser the undivided half of this other part of the said tract of Land with half of the improvements and the said Vendor for himself and his heirs the said tract of Land to the said purchaser his heirs and assigns shall and will warrant and forever defend against the Lawful claims of all prsons whomsoever by these presents. This sale is made for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred Dollars cash in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged by the said Vendor. It appears the certificate of Register of Mortgages for this Parish of this date that the Land herein sold is free of any Leins or Mortgage Registered against the present seller. Thus done and passed on the day month and year first above written and the said appearers have signed their names in the presence of Zachariah Magee and Robert Edwards who have also signed, Hezekiah Robinson not writing signed by making his usual mark.
