Fire Department Re-elects All Former Officers Monday

        The annual election of the Ponchatoula Volunter (sic) Fire Department 
was held last Monday and according to Chief "Spike" Ragan all former officers 
were re-elected.

        Apparent harmony was displayed by the ballots, as all candidates were 
elected with but one dissenting vote in each case.

        The list of officers is as follows.
Chief, C. E. Ragan
Assistant chief, "Rip" Drott
2nd Assistant Chief, W. C. Hawkins
Secretary, John Dahmer
Governing Board Chairman, Fr. Nuttall, members are Perrin, Lavigne, Jenkins 
and Kent.

        Ory Jenkins was present at the meeting and made a talk on the 
improvement made in the department since he has been gone.
