It was formerly owned by the judge's uncle and aunt, the Julian Dufreches. Adding to the background and furnishings are antiques and family heirlooms. Treasured possessions include a 150 year old French piano, marble top tables, Duncan Phyfe sofa and a gold leaf mirror. A king size bed has a hand-made quilt coverlet. Poised at the side is an antique wash stand and shaving mug. Other prized treasures are a rocker made from a spinning wheel, a 200 years old dropleaf table and a rare china collection. A gazebo in the garden is of value in the summer season. (From ECHOES FROM THE ATTIC, IX, 1976, by Edna Campbell) (Pic of gazebo)
