The Sims have used ingenuity in re-creating paneled walls and other distinctive renovations. The library harbors numerous valuable books, Louisiana paintings and Audubon prints frame the walls of the Louisiana Room. Among prize treasures are an American cherrywood grandfather's clock, a Bombe chest with mirror overhead and tea caddy. In the dining room authentic Wedgeworth china enhances the Georgia reproduction table. The linen covering was a gift of Frau Elizabeth Lob of Germany. The chairs are Chippendale and dumb waiter Mahogany. A walnut highboy dates back to 1700s and other heirlooms are in the early 1700s period. Mrs. Sims is the former Julia Brumfield. The table in the breakfast room is a treasure from a tavern in Germany. The entire home features heirloom and prized period furnishings.
