PRUDENCE MOORE A BRIDGE ENTHUSIAST Mrs. Prudence Robertson Moore whose name is symbolic with bridge is the former Prudence Robertson of Independence and has written a column on bridge for 23 years. Her column was "Duplicate Bridge Column" and it was started since the inception of the Tangipahoa Parish duplicate Bridge Club in 1951. It was discontinued in the fall due to the writer's impaired health. Her favorite hobby is bridge, especially duplicate bridge. She is a charter member of the Tangipahoa Parish duplicate Bridge Club which is franchised by the American Contract Bridge League. She served the club two terms as president and two years as secretary. She was the clubís assistant game director for five years and a full-time certified game director and club manager during the past seven years. During the time she served the club as president she was invited by Orene Muse to accompany a number of club members to Baton rouge for a radio interview. As a result of the interview she was asked by Mrs. Muse to write a story of the Tangipahoa Parish Duplicate Club for Mrs. Muse's society magazine, The Register. When she was no longer (able) to attend the club's games as night, she resigned as game director and club manager. And since she could not attend the games, she gave up writing her column. Mrs. Moore enjoys her home "Earlmoor" located on the Robertson Road, west of Independence near the homesite of her late parents, the Thomas D. Robertsons. The home is surrounded by azaleas, dogwood, wisteria, Cherokee roses and towering trees. She is a member of the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation, in Amite.
