Johnson dated 4 Sept. 1998 Dear Mr. Johnson: I was fortunate enough to come across your index to burials in Amite City Cemetery on the Internet last evening. This index enabled me to fill in some gaps in the information which I had on that branch of the Puleston family that settled in Amite. I hope that the enclosed infor- mation will be of interest to either yourself or to some local geneal- ogical society. The family originally came from Worthenbury in the County of Flintshire in North Wales. It can be traced back to Sir Roger de Puleston who died in 1296.
