Principal's Message:
 
Seniors, 
I sincerely hope that the pages of this yearbook reflect many happy memories of your last year 
at Independence High School.  After a year of hardship and difficulties, as well as moments of 
enjoyment, I trust that each of you will remember with pleasant reflections your senior year.
From myself and the faculty we extend to you our hearty congratulations and the desire that 
you will remember us fondly long after you leave us.
My whole-hearted thanks to the annual staff and sponsor for collecting and editing some of our 
memories of 1968-69 in this year's Il Ricordo.
