Heroes on the Home Front

        On the afternoon of February 7 a fire of rather extensive 
proportions broke out on the property owned by the Dominican 
Sisters at Rosaryville, Ponchatoula, and although the fire spread 
rapidly great praise is due to our volunteer firemen: 
W. C. Hawkins, John Dahmer, Bennie L. Cutrer, Rufus Felder, Robert 
O. Mohr and Vincent Gomez, who sacrificed their Sunday afternoon 
by working hard to extinguish it.  Mother M. Catherine and all the 
Sisters are most grateful and pray that Almighty God will reward 
these gentlemen for their kindly and magnanimous act.
