P. Kopfler of Ponchatoula are coming to Amite to reside. Mrs. Kopfler is an efficient employee of the Louisiana Tire Co., of New Orleans. Mr. W. D. Cline is now spending a while with his family in their summer home at Fluker. Miss Edna Starns will leave soon for Bell, La., where she will teach. Misses Marie Sanders and Jewel Briggs are the guests of Mrs. D. H. Sanders for the week. Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Mixon were visitors to New Orleans Tuesday. Mr. P. Burris of Franklinton was an Amite visitor last week. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Rowe and little ones are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Pipes. Mr. R. A. Kent is spending some of his vacation at Brown's Wells. Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Benit and sons Emmet and Dudley of New Orleans are the guests of Miss Brunett Lewis. Mr. J. E. Wilcombe is spending a while at Hot Springs, Ark. Judge Benton of Baton Rouge was an Amite visitor last week. Misses Inez and Irene Welshaar were visitors to Covington Sunday. Misses Lucille Wainwright, L. Lovet, Lois Lovet and Mrs. Henry Day spent Friday in New Orleans shopping. Mrs. Glenn smith has returned from a visit to her relatives in Arcadia, La. Mrs. Jessie Angelo spent the weekend with her sister, Mrs. H. Gray in New Orleans. Ned Wilson spent the week-end with home folds. H. E. Burnham was a New Orleans visitor last week.
