C. Cullom. Mr. and Mrs. S. O. Hagg and family with Mr. W. W. Thomas and Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Rownd and little ones and Mr. E. G. Carter motored to Franklinton to visit with Judge and Mrs. Prentiss B. Carter and family returning by way of Tylertown and Magnolia. Mrs. H. J. Beale visited in New Orleans last Wednesday. Miss Ruby Schenks celebrated her seventeenth birthday on Saturday night entertaining a number of her friends at a party. Dancing and playing of games were the chief amusements. Refreshments were served and all departed after having an enjoyable time. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Cullom drove to New Orleans Saturday returning on Sunday. Supt. Earnest S. Easterly of Denham Springs was a business visitor here Friday afternoon. Miss Trafes Jenkins and Mr. D. R. Kinchen were quietly married at the home of Rev. and Mrs. A. L. McQueen Thursday night. Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Halbert of Covington were guests of Mrs. Coats and family Tuesday. Mrs. Willie Wilson of Independence and Mr. and Mrs. Pugh called at the home of Miss Annie Kinchen Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Underwood of Watson visited with Rev. and Mrs. A. L. McQueen Sunday. Little Miss Earl Dudley entertained a number of her friends at a birthday party Saturday afternoon. Games were played and after refreshments were served the little guests departed for their homes wishing Earl many happy returns of the day. Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Lobell and two sons of French Settlement visited friends here Friday.
