BARKER, THELMA REYNOLDS, 12 Jan 1977 died Jan. 8 in Our Lady of the Lake Hospital at Baton Rouge. Survivors are her husband, Hillary Barker, two sons, Rusty and Marshall Barker; two daughters, Mrs. Hardy (Joyce) Warren of Baton Rouge and Miss Peggy Sue Barker of Ponchatoula; three brothers, Gordon and James Reynolds of Illinois and Robery Reynolds of Ponchatoula; one stepbrother, Ory Taylor of Ponchatoula; a sister, Mrs. Carl Arena of New Orleans; and her mother, Mrs. Bonnie Reynolds of Ponchatoula BONICARD, DOROTHY SNELL, 21 Dec 1977 Mrs. Dorothy Snell Bonicard, mother of Ponchatoula Mayor Collins Bonicard, died at Seventh Ward General Hopsital Sunday Morning. Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Ed (Marion) Wolf of Ponchatoula; a son, Mayor Bonicard; her husband, C.C. "Doc" Bonicard; four brothers, D. C. Snell of Harrlinger, Texas, Theron Snell of Donna, Texas, Milton Snell of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Clarence Snell of Ponchatoula; a sister, Mrs. Ruth (Frank) Bell of Abilene, Texas; and eight grandchildren. BONICARD, SHIRLEY VERNEUIL, 8 Aug 1977 Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Verneuil Bonicard, 47, were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ponchatoula Saturday. Burial was in Ponchatoula Cemetery. The wife of Mayor Collins Bonicard, she died at Seventh Ward Hospital Thursday morning. HENRY MAURICE, 14 Dec 1977 Dr. Henry Maurice Scarbrough, 55, died Thursday morning in Baton Rouge General Hospital. Funeral servies were from Harry McKneely and Son Funeral home with burial in the Arcola-Roseland Cemetery. Dr. Scarbrough and Dr. Donald Hanley operated the Women's Clinic in Ponchatoula and Hammond for about 17 years. Dr. Scarbrough was a member of the medical staff at Tulane University and Seventh Ward Hopsital. SCHILLING, HENRY O., 12 Oct 1977 Funeral services for Henry O. Schilling, 53, were Saturday from St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mr. Schilling was a native and resident of Wadesboro. Survivors include his wife, Mary McIntyre Schilling; a son, Henry T. Schilling, both of Wadesboro; two sisters, Mrs. Sam Ryan of Ponchatoula and Mrs. S. C. Painter of Houston, Texas; and a brother, Al Schilling of Baton Rouge SCOTT, DR. GLENN T., JR., 12 Jan 1977 Funeral services were held Friday at First United Methodist Church for Dr. Glenn T. Scott Jr., prominent Ponchatoula physician, who died Jan. 5 in Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans. Dr. Scott, 65, had been practicing in Ponchatoula since 1939. He was a native of Brownsville, Tenn. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary Frances Lawrence Scott; a daughter, Frances Evelyn Scott; a son, Dr. Glenn L. He was a member of the Ponchatoula Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club, and was chairman of the Ponchatoula Housing Authority.
