She was 60, a native of Independence and a resident of Jayees, MS. Religious services were held at Spring Creek Baptist Church, Kentwood, conducted by Rev. Danny Smith and Rev. Richard Hagean, interment in Woodland Cemetery, Kentwood. Pallbearers were Leon Chatham, Rusty Aull, Vince and Joey Estes, Josh Dunaway, Jeffery Coon and Johnny George. She was an All-Star basketball player for Kentwood High School during 1957- 60 and a retired medical records assistant for Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula, MS. She is survived by her husband, D.V. Coon, Jayees, MS; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph Denmon and Alahondra B,. Coon, Laredo, TX, and Douglas Edward and Lori Ann Coon, Jayees, MX; five grandchildren, Kelly Ann, Douglas Ivy, Maria Louree and Joseph D.V. Coon, and Kristina Lynn Barnes; one great grandchild, Skylar Coon; a sister and brother in law, Vergie Mildred and Russell M. Aull, Pascagoula, MS; two brothers and sisters in law, Denmon Alvin and Darlene Strickland and Joseph Eugene and Margaret Estes, all of Kentwood; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Nolan E. Raborn and Bessie Prine Raborn Strickland; and Kick and Louree Lewis who raised her. He was 33, a native of Panama City, FL and a resident of Kentwood. Religious services were held at the Lord's Church, Tangipahoa, conducted by Rev, Chris Watkins and Rev. Danny Smith, interment in Spring Creek Cemetery, Spring Creek. He is survived by his wife, Erin Garner Bailey; two sons, Trenton and Trey Bailey; a daughter, Tristen Bailey, Kentwood; a step-son, Blake Bridges, all of Kentwood; his mother and step-father, Belinda G. and Mark Hendrick, Panama City, FL; his father and step-mother, William Harper and Judy Bailey, Datil, NM; two brothers, William Bailey, Norfolk, VA and Travis Bailey, Panama City, FL; two sisters, Wylene Gillian and Vivian Hudson, both of Panama City, FL; a step-brother and step-sister, Kimberly and Christopher Hendrick, both of Panama City, FL; paternal grandmother, Myrtle Crutchfield, Vernon, FL and maternal grandmother, Leo M. Grimes, Panama City, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Olivia M. Bailey; paternal grandfather, Miley D. Bailey and maternal grandfather, Thomas L. Grimes. Wednesday, February 26, 2003 Kentwood News Ledger Phillip Thomas Lentz Sr. Phillip Thomas Lentz Sr. died Monday, February 17, 2003 in Kentwood. He was 63, a resident of Kentwood and a native of Herrin, IL. he was a retired Operating Engineer from Local 406. Religious services were held at Seale Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Bro. Steve Munsell and Bro. Jay Ashford, interment at Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery in Denham Springs. Pallbearers were his grandsons; honorary pallbearer was Nat Bankston, retired Registrar of Voters of East Baton Rough Parish. He is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Connie L. and Dawes K. Easterly of Kentwood, Kianne L. and Robert Bergeron of Walker, Barbara A. L. Nadeau of Denham Springs and Lisa L. and Timmy Carlton of Ottawa, Il; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Phillip Thomas Lentz Jr., of Denham Springs and James Edward and Monisa Lentz of Walker; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Arthur E. "Pat" and Annette Lentz and Wayne and Connie Lentz, all of Watson; eleven grandchildren, Thomas and Michael Adams, Toby Easterly, Bobby and Joey Singleton, Jennifer Nadeau, Tiffany and Scottie Carlton, Megan Dier and Dillan and Ashley Lentz; a great-grandchild, Tate Nadeau; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Berl and Beatrice Davis Lentz and a brother, Henry Lentz.
