Davis Henry F. Davis died at 10:30am on Thursday, October 17, 2002 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. He was 60, a native of Charleston, SC and a resident of Kentwood. He was a seaman for the Merchant Marines. Religious services were held at /sunny Hill Baptist Church, Sunny Hill, conducted by Rev. Lionel Johnson and Rev. Jerry Cupp, interment in Spring Creek Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Jeaner A. Davis, Kentwood; his ex-wife, Linda R. Davis, New Orleans; a daughter, Alice Smith, Charleston SC; a son, Rob Davis, Kentwood; two grandchildren Steven and Anita M. Smith; a brother, Charles Davis, all of Charleston, SC, five step-children Wade Royals, Kentwood, Delila Balthaser, Wildwood FL, Mitchell Royals, Donaldsonville, GA, Raymond Royals, Kansas City, DS, and Annice Currie, San Angelo, TX; 20 step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Harold Forrest. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alice Frampton Davis Jr. Michael Craig Fugler Michael Craig Fugler died on Thursday, October 17, 2002 at Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center in Independence. He was 53, a native and resident of Greensburg. He was a welder/boilermaker. Religious services were held at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, conducted by Rev. William Sewell, interment in the Greensburg Cemetery, Greensbury. He is survived by his son, David L. Fugler, Denham Springs; a daughter, Sarah D. Fugler Moticheck, Maurepas; five grandchildren, Brett and Dustin Linder, Dakota, Garett and Adellia Moticheck; a step-sister Clara M. Holmes, Springfield; an aunt, Betty J. S. Catalanotto, Roseland; and a companion, Charlotte Jones, Greensburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Allen and Sarah A. Strickland Fugler; a brother, Rober P. Fugler and a step-brother, Roy A. Fugler Jr. Wed. November 6, 2002 William Clyde Carloss, III William Clyde Carloss, III, died Wednesday, October 30, 2002 in Rogers. He was 50, a native of Magnolia, MS and a resident of Rogers. He was self employed as a maintenance worker and a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Rogers. He served in the Army during Vietnam. Memorial services were held at Green Law Baptist Church, Kentwood, conducted by Dr. Gibbie McMillian. He is survived by his wife, Sally Carloss; a son, Willia A. Carloss, Rogers; two daughters, Leslie Carloss , Jackson MS; and Rene Carloss, Osyka MS; his mother, Marilyn Carloss, Kentwood; a brother, Robert A Carloss, Brandon, MS; a sister Charlotte Summers, St. Wayne, IN; and two grandchildren. Shelby M. McDaniel Shelby M. McDaniel died on Monday, October 28, 2002 near Kentwood. He was 84, a native of Sunny Hill and a resident of Kentwood. He was a dairy farmer. Religious services were held at Spring Creek Baptist Church, Spring Creek , conducted by Dr. Danny Smith, interment in the church cemetery. He was a 50 year member of the Spring Creek Lodge #184, F&AM, a charter member of Walter T. Ott Chapter #217, OES, and a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Frances M. Gay and Judy M. and Frank Fowler Sr., all of Kentwood; six grandchildren, Stephanie and Shelly G. Houeye, Frank Jr., Justin and Floyd Fowler, and Lesley F. Bridges; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Berterie M. Fussell, Baton Rouge; a brother Alvie McDaniel, Kentwood; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mirla Blades McDaniel; a son, Ivy Lane McDaniel; and a son-in- law, Johnny Gay; five brothers and two sisters. Belinda Leigh Titus Belinda Leigh Titus died at 3:15 a.m. Thursday, October 31, 2002 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. She was 44, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Tangipahoa. She was a former EMT and was going to SLUY working on a Master's Degree in English Literature. Religious services were held at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, conducted by Rev. Ken Norton, interment in the Tangipahoa Cemetery, Tangipahoa. She is survived by her father, Theophile "Ted" Titus, Tangipahoa; two sisters, Cheryl Strickland, Kentwood, and Gwendolyn Pezant, Osyka, MS; a brother, Clifford W. Titus, Kentwood; five nephews, Kenneth and Scott Bagot and Erin Pezant; and two great-nephews, two nieces, Christi Bagot and Erin Pezant; and two great-nephews, Tristan Robertson and Mason Bontrager. She was preceded in death by her mother, Pearl E. Titus. Wednesday November 20, 2002 Guycell Chadwick Guycell Chadwick died at 7:41pm on Monday, November 11, 2002 at Hood Memorial Hospital in Amite. He was 75, a native of Nicholson, MS and a resident of Arcola. Religious services were held at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, conducted by Rev. Gary Weiborg, interment in the Arcola-Roseland Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Lanell Brister Chadwick; three sons, Jerry Guycell and Robert Eugene Chadwick, all of Arcola, and Alan Ray Chadwick, Kentwood; a daughter, Dianne Chadwick Roberts, Amite; two brothers, Thairon Chadwick, Gonzales and Thornton Chadwick; a son, Robert E. "Buddy" Chadwick Sr; a granddaughter, Ashley Chadwick; a brother, George Earl Chadwick; and four sisters, Thelma Smith, Juanita Odom, Colita Ladner and Jeanette Chadwick. Ray R. Hodges Ray R. Hodges died at 6:10am on Friday, November 8, 2002, at his residence near Kentwood. He was 77, a native of Wilmer and a resident of Kentwood. He was a road supervisor for Tangipahoa Parish Council for many years and was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Religious services were held at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, conducted by Elder Mason Miley and Rev. Otha Schillings, interment in Spring Creek Cemetery, Spring Creek. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Statham Hodges; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Rodney L. Sr. and Kenneth Ray Hodges, John Wayne and Lisa Hodges; a daughter, Peggy Hodges; all of Kentwood; six grandchildren, Rodney Jr. and his wife Nicole, Kenna, Shelby, Candace Jon, Jeremy and Dylan; two great- grandchildren, Austin and Abby; a brother, Jonathan Bonnie: Hodges, Chesbrough; and a sister, Elsie Pitts, Kentwood. Wednesday November 27, 2002 Thomas James Traylor Thomas James Traylor, 68, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical center in McComb, Miss. He was a truck driver and Painter, a native of Tangipahoa Parish and a resident of Kentwood. Survivors include his wife, Martha Cooper Traylor, Kentwood; his mother, Rita Hutchinson Traylor, Brookhaven, Miss; his sisters, Wilda T. Gill of Amite, Nancy T. Loper and JoAnn T. Smith, both of Brookhaven, Miss., Lois T. Leonard of Springfield and Sharon T. Bevil of Gramercy; his step-children, Shirley Dykes, Eugene Travis, Phillip Dykes, Carl Ray Dykes, Jimmy Wayne Dykes Sr., Edward Dykes, Jacky Dykes, Faye Dykes Carney, Jerry Lee Dykes, Ruthie Dykes, Lila Jean Watson, and numerous nieces and nephews. His father, T.J. Traylor, his sisters, Bertie Balard and Yvonne Chenevert, and two stepchildren William H. Dykes, and Tommy L. Dykes preceded him in death. Religious services were held at McKneely Funeral Home. The Revs. Brad Terrell and Riley Hinton conducted the services. Burial was in Tangipahoa Cemetery.
