He was a native of Fairfield, Ala., a retired mechanical engineer, previous owner of the Warsaw Marina, a member of Trinity Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Jean Bell of Pumpkin Center; and three sons. As per his wishes, his body will be donated to the Louisiana State University department of anatomy.
