He was a Mason and a Shriner and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. She is survived by two daughters, Leola "Betty" Johnson and Sarah Thomas, both of Hammond; 10 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bytha R. McVay; son, Charles McVay, four brothers and five sisters. Visitation will be Friday at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Hammond, from 4 to 9 p.m. The Rev. Willie Gable will conduct the funeral Saturday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Rose Lee Pool of Tangipahoa; six daughters, Barbara Johnson and Rosemarie Powell, both of Washington D.C., Hester Putmon of Kentwood, Linda Cook, Gwen Pruitt and Sharon Robinson, all of Hammond; three sisters, Elouise Vernon and Margureite Johnson, both of Tangipahoa, and Inez Pool of Chicago; three brothers, Wilmer, Leon and Richard Pool Sr., all of Tangipahoa; 13 grandchildren and 19 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mamie Pool; two sons, Wilton Pool Jr. and Charles Leo Pool; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be at Quinn Chapel AME Church, Tangipahoa, Saturday from 11 a.m. until the Rev. Marshall Holiday conducts the funeral at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Quinn Brown Cemetery. Richardson Funeral Home, Amite, is in charge. FREDRICK SCHROEDER ALBANY - Fredrick Schroeder, 92, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was a native of New Orleans and served in the Seabee division of the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean conflict. He was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church of Hammond. He is survived by his wife, Camille Baron Schroeder of Albany; one daughter, Nancy Schroeder of Metairie; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. HELEN ALINE KEMP TROXLER Helen Aline Kemp Troxler, 75, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. She was a native of Robert. She is survived by one daughter, Paula T. Heap of Waldheim; one son, David Blake Troxler of Robert; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, M.J. Troxler; her parents, Blake and Amelia Morse Kemp; and two brothers, Aubrey and Newton Kemp. Visitation will be Friday at Robert Church of God, Robert, from 10 a.m. until the Rev.
