Funeral Sunday in Hammond; interment in Springfield. A native of Clinton; the former Henrietta Waddell; her husband, Frank, died 25 years ago. She was mother of Mrs. W. S. Rowd of Hammond, Mrs. Max Weatherby of Baton Rouge, Mrs. C. G. McGehee of Baton Rouge, Mrs. R. F. Tucker of Ripley, TN. Two sons also survive, C. C. Cooper of New Orleans and R. R. Cooper of Chicago. Grandsons were her pallbearers, Mayhew Cooper, Curtis Rownd, C. C. McGehee, Jr., Pat Richardson, Ned McGehee and Valmond Gautreau. 3 Jan 1936; p. 1, col. 5: Mrs Ethel Lotspeich Brown, 50, wife of the late Simpson Brown, formerly of Amite, died Monday in a New Orleans hospital. Burial was Tuesday in Amite Cemetery. She was the mother of Mrs. Lucille Jones, and the late Buster Brown of Hammond; also survived by a sister, Mrs. W. B. Kemp, of Amite; 7 grandchildren, and a son who resides in New Orleans. 3 Jan 1936; p. 4, col. 1: Raymond Starkey, 6, of Hammond, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Starkey, died Friday in a New Orleans hospital. He was the son of the late Felder Crawford; married the former, Miss Jenny Ballard, in 1874; they had five sons, Theodore, Morgan, Edward, Melery and Felder [one of these sons is deceased] and five daughters, Mrs. Ophelia Shilling, Mrs. Laura Gill, Mrs. Corinne Grayham, Mrs. Lula Mixon and Mrs. Lizzie McIntyre, all of Bolivar. He leaves the nine children, 37 grand- children and 24 great, grandchildren; three brothers, Mrs. W. Crawford of TX, Mr. Leslie Crawford of Franklinton and Mr. Mardy Crawford of Ark. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Wilson of Sheridan and the little grandson of Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Cook of Loranger. Mrs. J. C. Wilson was the former Eleanor Cook. Mrs. Eloise Mosher, sister of Mrs. Wilson, and her son, Jimmy, had been in Sheridan since April 6th. Another sister, Mrs. Marion Schultz, her husband, Leslie G. Schultz, and their daughter, Juanita, left Monday for Sheridan. 12 June 1936; p. 1, col. 1: Mrs. T. B. Hoover died Friday, June 5th in Big Springs, TX. She was the former Miss Floyce Ellis; married 15 June 1935 to Dr. T. B. Hoover. Survived by husband; parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M.
