She was 92. Visiting at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norco, on Friday, Aug. 24, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Entombment in St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum in Destrehan. She is survived by two daughters, Catherine "Deanie" Abadie Trepagnier, of LaPlace, and Shelia Abadie Gonor, of Albany; two sons, Clarence "Manny" Abadie Jr., of Tickfaw, and Richard "Dickie" Abadie, of Gretna; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence "Abby" Abadie Sr.; parents, Eddie Hidalgo and Alice Bartell Hidalgo; sisters and brothers, Joyce, Harold and Alby Hidalgo and Ida DiBenedetto. H.C. Leon Leonard "Lil Bit" Abadie, Jr. on Thursday August 14, 2008 at 11:20 P.M was called to his heavenly home. He was 67. Leonard was a Child of God; Saved by the Blood of Jesus Christ. Leonard was born to Leon Leonard Abadie, Sr. and Pauline Keller Abadie (both deceased) in Lions, LA on July 7, 1941. Beloved husband of Maude Gregoire Abadie, wife of 22 years. Also survived by one much-loved son, Lawrence Lester Abadie. Leonard took joy in his granddaughter Tiffany Lynn Abadie. His siblings are Bertha Abadie Waguespack (husband, Percy Waguespack) and Harry Abadie (wife, Shirley Montz Abadie). He is the son-in-law of Jeanne Becnel Gregoire. Leonard is the step-father of Brent David Landry (wife, Kim LeBouef Landry), Monica Troxclair (husband, Bruce Troxclair) and Joy Landry. He was also grandfather "Pop" to seven other grandkids. Leonard was a resident of Reserve, LA most of his life and has lived in Loranger, LA for the past 12 years. Leonard served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He worked as a machinist at Shell Chemical Norco for 28 years. He was a faithful member of Reserve Christian Church being generous with his time with a heart toward the "helps ministry." Leonard especially enjoyed playing the drums and singing with the Levite Worship Team. After moving to Loranger, Leonard enjoyed worshipping at Harvest Family Church in Hammond, LA. It was Leonard's request to donate his body to the State of Louisiana Bureau of Anatomical Services. His thoughtfulness will provide physicians and research scientists with the opportunity to gain knowledge which may prolong or improve someone's life. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Reserve Christian Church, Airline Highway in Reserve on Monday August 18, 2008 at 7PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Reserve Christian Church Building Fund or the charity of your choice. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star on: 1/14/2007 ABADIE, MARY ANN BRADLEY Mary Ann Bradley Abadie, born September 11, 1933, in Norco, LA., died on January 13, 2007 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, LA., from complications associated with Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer. She is the daughter of the late Victor ³Vic² Bradley, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Gavin "Dookeye" Bradley and mother of Louis Cook, III, and Elizabeth Cook Schaeufele. She has one brother Victor "Vic" Bradley Jr. who is a prominent attorney in Norco. She married Louis Cook, Jr. in 1954, and later married Clarence J. Abadie, Jr. in 1977. She graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1955 in the College of Education and was Teacher Supervisor at the Norco Primary School until she retired in 1987. She also taught at schools in Thailand and Abu Dhabi and was school Principal in the dependent school at the military base on the island of Andros in the Bahamas and on the island of Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands.
