AHRENS, ALFRED AUGUST
Alfred August Ahrens, 81 years old of Ponchatoula, died Thursday, December 
30, 2010, in Landmark Nursing Center.  He was born on March 13, 1929, in 
New Orleans.  Surviving are his wife, Marian Burns Ahrens; daughter, 
Patricia Schmidt (Steven); son, David Ahrens; and sister, Lydia Cody.  He 
is preceded in death by his parents, Leah Lagarde and Alfred E. Ahrens; and 
brother, Francis Ahrens.  Visitation on Monday, January 3, 2011, from 
9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula.
Graveside services will be held at the Ponchatoula Cemetery, Monday, 
January 3, 2011, at 11:00 AM.  Mr. Ahrens loved his animals.
