She was 71. Memorial services at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home chapel, Crowley, at 10 a.m. Friday. She and her husband, Walter Joseph Armentor Jr., were owners of two former retail stores in Crowley, "Bowsky's" and "Sis and Walt's." Survived by husband of 49 years; two daughters, Gail Johnson and Renee Simoneaux, both of Crowley; her late sister's children whom she was mother to, Kay Aprill, Franklin, W.H. "Billy" Hodges, Lexington, Ky., and Russell Hodges, Austin, Texas; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and her identical twin sister, Dorothy "Dot" Patt, and husband, John Patt, and their children, Jack Julius Patt and Tricia Patt, all of Lafayette. Preceded in death by parents, Isidore Kotwitz Bowsky and Regina "Cootsy" Greenwald Bowsky; and a sister, Carolyn Bowsky Hodges. She completed an A.A. degree from Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., received a bachelor of arts degree in social work from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and attended LSU. In addition to raising her family and running the family business with her husband, she was an avid golfer, winning many state and regional championships, enjoyed gardening, writing poetry and playing gin rummy with her friends. She helped others by donating much of her time, talents and resources to those in the community in need.
